Top issues this week in England and Scotland

23 October 2008—The top issue categories for our callers this week have remained ‘Grant and Loan enquiries’ and ‘Money advice’, with a combined total of 34 per cent of all calls. The ‘Personal Issues’ category accounted for nearly 20 per cent of calls while ‘Working conditions’ accounted for 18 per cent. ‘Careers’ was in fourth place, with 11 per cent of calls this week. Obituary: Max Morris, Former President of NUT

18 September 2008—Max Morris was an influential, outspoken president of the NUT and a good friend to Teacher Support Network, and the Teacher’s Benevolent Fund before that. Elected President of the NUT in 1973, he was a leading figure on the education stage. He died in August this year. Continue Reading
